After completing the following introductory assignment you will be asked to explain why the US Copyright law is so important in today's world economy and why it should be enforced.

Part II / Create a Copyright Information Web Page

Basic Description

  This web page is to contain a summary of useful information on the US Copyright Law. Use any of your search engines to locate information on US Copyright law and related information. Be sure to explain what the copyright law is, what materials can be copyrighted, how long copyright lasts and especially how this information applies specifically to materials available via the internet. DO NOT copy text from other sites, summarize in your own words what you have learned as well as the answers to the above questions.

Specific Requirements

A. Folder Organization

            1. Create and organize all folders
                  a) Copyright Assignment Folder
                      1) images
                      2) navimages
                      3) originaldocs
                      4) pdfdocs

            2. Save ALL materials in appropriate folders

B. Individual Page Requirements

            1. Page titled appropriately within the HTML code
            2. Visible Page Title / Heading
            3. Your Name / Modification Date
                 a) Small unobtrusive

            4. Minimum of three (3) active links to different information sources
            5. Table based layout

C. Web Site Requirements

            1. Single Web Page

D. Design Requirements

            1. Must have a recognizable Graphic Theme
                 a) Appropriate use of colors
                 b) Consistency of buttons / links
                 c) Appropriate choice of Fonts / sizes
                 d) Organized page layout / positioning of elements

E. Content Requirements

            1. Minimum of One (1) Clip Art Image
                  a) Appropriate for page content & Design
                  b) Saved in "images" folder
